Easter 2011

The easter egg stash and one happy boy.
Running around, looking for eggs.

Dying eggs at Gma T's (the day before)

Jack's favorite thing to do...tickle Liev's face. Liev tolerates it - for now.

See...Jack tickling Liev again.

Happy Easter all!

Snapshot in my mind

Picture with me this moment, as I realized this morning that it's times like these that I'll want to remember.

I had Liev sitting up against the couch, on the floor, with pillows to prop him up (he still flops a little to the sides). Jack was sitting next to him and wanted to continue our made-up-story we've been telling each other the last couple of days. This story is of "Billy Joe Bob and Bubba" and their adventures, such as eating ice cream, going to the lake, etc.

I started getting pretty animated telling them the stories and both boys are just wide-eyed with huge smiles, listening with such intent. It was so cute that I wish I had a camera. But I realized that a camera would ruin the moment, as they would no doubt have their attention diverted to it.

Jack was jumping in with details every now and then, while Liev would occasionally chomp on the nearest toy. The point being, we were enjoying each other's company and completely in the moment.

Life as a stay-at-home mom doesn't pay worth a dime, but is worth more than piles and piles of gold.

Backpacking

To say we're ready for warmer weather is an understatement. Today we tested Liev in the backpack and Jack cruised around in his plasma car.

Now, Tom is out on the trails with Jack in the Chariot. SUMMER...we're ready for you!!!
